My Authentic SELF!
- A holistic journey toward wholeness and harmony in everyday life
We’ve all been there, when we’ve decided to exercise more, meditate, attend yoga, eat healthier, get a gym membership, become more spiritual, or start a new life path.
In the beginning, everything feels new and motivating, energy increases, mood improves, and we feel proud of our progress.
But then life happens. A stressful week, unexpected events, or small setbacks cause the routine to slip away. Suddenly, we’re back in old habits, even though we know that what we were doing actually made us feel good.
Or the body signals after far too long without recovery, and sick leave becomes a reality, a reality that forces us to pause and reflect on how we live our daily lives.
None of us believes it will happen to us, and when it does, it can be hard to accept. Often, we also try to “get better” using the same strategies that partly contributed to our needing sick leave in the first place.
This is where My Authentic Self! Make a difference. The program is a comprehensive year-long journey where we work with all aspects of ourselves, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, and get to know our habits, both good and bad, as well as our patterns.
It is based on the thousands of years of knowledge from Ayurveda and yoga, but it is not a traditional training in yoga or Ayurveda. My Authentic Self is a unique and in-depth program that takes a holistic approach to what it means to be human and an energetic being in a constantly changing world.
A world where we are daily bombarded with information about how we “should” live our lives, while quick health tips and instant-fix solutions replace one another.
Stress, burnout, and mental health challenges are becoming increasingly common, and many struggle silently with feelings of inadequacy, loneliness, and worry.
In an increasingly digitalized society, the boundary between work and leisure is becoming blurred. Constant connectivity makes it difficult to truly unwind, and social media, which on the surface brings us closer together, often reinforces comparison, performance pressure, and feelings of inadequacy.
At the same time, we are living in a period of great energy and transformation. Old structures fall, new ones emerge, and much of what we once took for granted is being renegotiated.
Planetary movements, solar storms, and other cosmic forces affect not only the Earth but also our bodies, minds, and ways of experiencing the world.
My Authentic SELF! is created to meet the needs of this very time. The program gives you tools to care for your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual body, always based on who you are and the situation you are in right now.
Here, you get the opportunity to discover a deeper inner peace and learn to truly appreciate life’s everyday moments.
What makes the program unique is its holistic view of the human being, where you are seen as a whole, body, mind, emotions, and soul. The program is not aimed at training you to become a professional in holistic health; rather, the focus is on YOU and your own journey.
You learn techniques and gain knowledge for your own personal development, out of love for yourself. If you later wish to share what you have learned with others, that is of course a possibility, but it is not the main purpose of this year.
The program is imbued with a loving and non-judgmental atmosphere that helps you become more aware, release what no longer serves you, and create space for what you want to invite more of into your life.
Here, you are your own guruIt is you who decides what you want to take in, integrate, and live by in order to create a more harmonious and meaningful life.
Throughout the program, we explore all aspects of being human, through both theoretical study and practical exercises grounded in deep inner understanding.
The program encourages you not only to learn new things, but also to dare to trust your own inner wisdom about what you truly need.
This is a journey toward balance, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, so that, in the long term, you can live in harmony with yourself and the world around you.
Structure
The program spans one year, allowing us to follow the shifts of nature and gradually integrate theory into practice.
Sustainable change takes time, so you are given the opportunity to slowly weave new insights and habits into your life. We meet three weekends during the year (Saturday–Sunday) in central Västerås.
These in-person meetings are an important part of the journey—because we humans develop in community, through both joy and vulnerability.
They also include space for relaxation through yoga and meditation, which you can, if you wish, incorporate into your daily life.
Between weekends, we meet eight times online to deepen knowledge, maintain connection, and share experiences.
Teachers
The main teacher and coach is Marie, who has over 30 years of experience in alternative therapies, health, coaching, and personal development. Her passion for learning and curiosity about the connection between body, mind, and soul has guided her through both academic and holistic training.
Over the past 15 years, she has particularly focused on yoga and Ayurveda, and for nine years, she ran a successful yoga studio in central Västerås.
Marie’s teaching is characterized by responsiveness and flexibility, with each session shaped by the needs of the participants. This creates a safe, inspiring, and lively environment where every meeting is unique. In addition to Marie, international teachers and spiritual guides will also contribute their perspectives and experiences.
