About the Company

Ayurveda Flow

Ayurveda Flow is a brand that originated from Våga Yoga Nu in Västerås, which was founded in 2009. The company was established with the purpose of offering and promoting the therapeutic aspects of Kundalini and Medical/Mediyoga to help people achieve a less stressful and more balanced daily life.

At that time, yoga was far from as widespread and popular as it is today, and training programs for Kundalini yoga teachers were few and far between. Göran Boll, a pioneer in Kundalini yoga and the development of MediYoga, was at the beginning of his work with what later became a well-known concept in healthcare.

For nine years, the yoga operations were run from a dedicated studio at Tessingatan 2 and grew steadily year after year, despite minimal marketing. Participants primarily joined through recommendations and word-of-mouth from previously satisfied attendees and returning practicing yogis.

During this time, courses in Kundalini Yoga, MediYoga, and Breathwalk were offered, along with lectures and workshops on the Chakra System, Cold Depression, stress management, and many other topics within Ayurveda.

Yoga weekends were also held in different locations across Sweden such as Gnesta, Svanå, Idöborg & Husby Gård in Bettna, along with several yoga and hiking trips in Spain and a yoga journey to India. Additionally, yoga courses were provided for businesses and associations, as well as individual consultations.

In the summer of 2019, it became clear that it was time for an ending to make space for something new in the upcoming era and paradigm shift. After nine fantastic years, the yoga studio was closed, and the door was opened to new opportunities.

This decision proved to be incredibly timely when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in March 2020 and restrictions were introduced. The lease had already been terminated, and the contract expired in May 2020.

During this period, Ayurveda Flow slowly took shape, focusing on education, individual consultations, and workshops in holistic self-care. The pandemic provided increased time for reflection, meditation, and deep study of Ayurvedic medicine and herbal remedies.

Ayurveda Flow represents a holistic approach to health and well-being and is the result of an intertwining of knowledge and experience from years of yoga practice.

By offering a variety of services and opportunities, Ayurveda Flow strives to help individuals find their holistic path—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. In a time of change and uncertainty, Ayurveda serves as a source of wisdom and guidance, encouraging each person to seek answers within themselves and explore their own inner journey.

Only you can make the changes needed to grow and develop as an individual. Others can serve as guides along the way, but it is only the individual who can set the boundaries and determine the direction of what they want to do with their life and where they want to focus their energy. No one can develop or feel well unless they truly want to and are ready to do the inner work required. All forms of personal development demand that you pause and face yourself in the mirror, which can be very painful at times but is necessary if you want lasting change. There is no magic pill or quick fix for harmony, joy, and balance in daily life; we must be active and make choices that lead us there. This is exactly what Ayurveda Flow’s range of services offers—techniques and strategies for more harmony, joy, and energy in everyday life.

Marie

Ayurveda Flow is run by Marie Guilliams, a passionate yogi with a rich cultural heritage and a truly global perspective. Born into a family where English was her first language, Marie's early years were shaped by her time in England and Africa before eventually settling in Stockholm in the late 1970s. This diverse upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for the beauty of different cultures and traditions. Growing up in a family with varied spiritual and philosophical beliefs, Marie learned early on that there is no single universal truth. Instead, she came to understand that each person seeks and discovers their own unique path in life. This understanding fostered in her a profound respect for individuality and diversity.

She sees Ayurveda as a life manual that can be adapted to different cultures and belief systems, with nature and our biological cycles as a common foundation  Yoga is her passion and tool for self-awareness and serving others.

By simplifying her life, she has created more space for joy and harmony, as well as more time to live in accordance with yogic and Ayurvedic philosophy.
